I grew up in Wisconsin, but left to study management and engineering at Stanford University. I currently live with my beautiful wife in Fort Myers, Florida.
I’ve hopped from industry to industry bringing my expertise in market analysis, product strategy, and team-building. I work with my product teams to elegantly solve solutions and to best position our solutions for current market opportunities. I consistently work to create strategic market partnerships that benefit all parties to increase the value offered by hi products, bringing the best possible experience to the users.
My Process
Dream it.
It all starts with an idea. We plan our position in the market and our target customers and do the research to support the idea.
Build it.
The best way to build a great product is to build a great team behind the product. Then we do the design and development work.
Sell it.
Now we can implement our marketing strategy, getting the product in the hands of our customers and setting up strategic partnerships in the market.
Grow it.
Then we focus not only on growing our customer base, but growing the value that we provide to existing users as well as new features to attract new users.
What I’ve Built
Personal Projects
Game Development
I’m no game dev all-star, but I like to dabble in it and learn in my free time. Recently won the Kinda Funny Game Jam with my 3rd-person hero shooter, Malta Mayhem ft. Johnny Ace. My latest project was a action/puzzle game based on some Dungeons and Dragons theming. Click below to see more!
Games Industry Journalism
I enjoy staying on top of the latest happenings in the games industry along with writing and providing commentary. I’ve published 100+ articles from daily news coverage to long-form articles for the industry news site Gamespresso. I also enjoy podcasting, having produced and edited podcasts covering games, movies, tv, and general world news.
Esports
With the dawn of the StarCraft 2 Beta, I discovered my love for esports. Shortly thereafter, along with the Beta release of League of Legends, esports was experiencing a rebirth and I had to be part of it. I began the LAN club at Stanford, bringing together students to participate in tournaments for the aforementioned games as well as Smash Bros., Counter-Strike, and anything else that had enough interest. I also founded the Stanford Collegiate League of Legends team, working with Riot Games on their Collegiate LoL efforts.
